Liberal Leadership Campaign

New Leader of the Liberal Party

If you have not heard there is a new leader of the Federal Liberal party. I must admit that I was very concerned last weekend when I was waiting for the results. It stressed me to no end. Why? Well I was convinced that Bob the bobble head Rae would win. I assumed that delegates would go with Mr. Rae in hope of wining the next election. That deeply concerned me because Bob Rae is to much of a consummate old school politician and personally I believe he just does not get it. How can he? He is a Rhodes Scholar (like that should mean something to us working folks) and has he ever truly understood the masses? Boy was I ever delighted, no wait ecstatic when Mr. Dion won the leadership! Even though I have not voted Liberal in over a decade I am happy that the party seems to be looking not to just win the next election, but cares (maybe) about the electorate.

A new poll suggests that Bob Rae is now the front-runner for the leadership of the Federal Liberal Party. Can you imagine, Mr. Rae days has the next leader of what some use to call the greatest political party in Canada? Like many in Ontario I actually voted for Bob Rae and could not wait to boot him out after his maniacal performance. What has happened to the Liberal party? Or was it always this screwed up? Here we went from somewhat respectable Jean Chrétien, to Mr. Dithers and now possibly one of the worst premiers that Ontario has ever had.

Yes so true and now the PMO in light of the Belinda nonsense should even be happier.
