Chuck Cadman affair)
- both parties are not addressing very real and serious issues (economy, manufacturing, climate change, health care)
Federal Budget: The risk of being negative, I am not a fan of this budget. Why?
Simply put it is an umbrella of spending to whom ever the government is targeting to vote for them. It has nothing to do with what Canada really needs. Its an election designed budget! period! Oh if your wondering I voted for Harper.... There are a some serious issues that need to be addressed by our government which frankly did not.
Sweet Belinda: I may have to start a post just for Belinda Stronach :-) This person is unbelievable; it would be funny if she wasn't a representative of parliament. Today (October, 20th, Belinda made news again by suggesting the entire Conservative party is chauvinistic because of alleged comments by Peter McKay. Wow! and this coming from someone of already very questionable ethics? The real pathetic part of this is that much of the focus in the house of commons has now been on this bullshit. Isn't there more important things that MPs should be discussing
Wow - Prime Minister Harper must privately be celebrating at his current good fortune. If the PMO ever reads this here is some free advice: Don't do anything but wait and see until the next election. Chances are there will not be any credible members of the Liberal party left. It is amazing and sad at what speed the number of negative issues that keep erupting within the Liberal Party. The sad thing is that no one outside of the party has had to do anything - they just keep doing it to themselves. If you have not heard the latest is the alleged Tie Domi/Belinda Stronach fiasco. It seems that ex Maple Leaf bruiser (Tie Domi) has been involved in extra marital affair with no other than poor Belinda. Recently she was on Mike Duffy and was crying double standard as well as using the old tactic of my private life does not reflect my public life. Well I hate to break the news to wise old Belinda, your actions in private certainly does reflect how you are perceived and how you behave in public. In fact there is an argument to suggest that how we behave in private is our true behaviour, values, morals and integrity; and it is how we behave in public that is the surreal.
Election 2003: In Ontario, it will be municipal election time on November 13, and unfortunately voter turn-out is typically low (less than 50%). Here in Guelph it was only 36% in 2003 which is dreadful and begs the question as to how any elected officials can properly govern since they clearly do not even represent half the voting population. And than certain representatives went around stating they had a landslide and that the people have spoken. Well with my math calculations, 67% of eligible Guelphites did not vote. How does that provide any kind of real mandate? It would be interesting to hear from you as to why voter turn out is so low.
